Gloves

Product
Innovation

Innovation remains one of the core foundations in CMSB. We believe this culture of innovation will not only help us stay ahead in the industry, but also benefit all stakeholders in the long run.

As the pioneer of lightweight nitrile gloves, CMSB continues to make waves in the industry by pushing the boundaries of technology and product development. We offer a wide range of product features which we believe will translate into product differentiation and creating more values to our customers.

Aranea™

“Aranea” is the Latin language of “Araneae”, where the latter is the scientific name of Spiders. Ⓓ This product utilises registered design MY 20-E0565-0101 filed by Central Medicare Sdn. Bhd. Aranea™ features a unique spider web grip allowing superior grip with good traction on surfaces. It enables outstanding grip on wet and greasy environments.

We are offering Aranea™ ES and Aranea™ HR to cater your different needs and requirements. Please reach out to our sales personnel for further information!

36 Chemotherapy Drugs Tested

One of CMSB’s revolutionary breakthrough is to be the first in the world to offer nitrile gloves with permeation resistance for 36 types of chemotherapy drugs.

It is compliant with ASTM D6978 (Chemotherapy Permeation) and supported with 510(k) premarket notification clearance. As such, we are able to offer a “36 Chemo Drugs” labelling claim.

Handling of chemotherapy drugs poses potential cytotoxic drugs exposure to healthcare workers, which can result in impaired fertility, organ damages, birth defects and cancer. That is why it is critical to select the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and only gloves approved for use with chemotherapy drugs should be worn.

Carmustine & Thiotepa

There is no safe level of exposure to chemotherapy drugs for healthcare workers; even incidental exposure to these drugs is unacceptable.

On top of the 36 Chemotherapy drugs, Central Medicare offers an additional level of protection that provides outstanding permeation resistance against aggressive chemotherapy drugs: Carmustine and Thiotepa.

Our specially formulated high-risk gloves are tested in accordance with ASTM D6978, and supported with 510(k) premarket notification clearance.

Fentanyl Resistance

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid which is typically used as a pain reliever.

It is estimated to be 30 to 50 times more potent than heroine, and 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine.

It is extremely dangerous when used illicitly as excessive exposure to fentanyl may be fatal. In year 2017, fentanyl overdoses contributed to high death rates of 28,400 cases in the US.

As the fentanyl-related overdoses continue to surge, more law enforcement and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel are placed at a greater risk of accidental exposure to the potent substance.

In light of this, CMSB developed fentanyl resistant gloves which are tested in accordance with ASTM D6978-05 to resist fentanyl permeation for up to 240 minutes, providing protection for the officers.

Low Dermatitis Potential

As the glove donning population continues to move towards non-latex alternatives to minimize Type I Latex Allergy, there has been a growing number of cases registered of users developing Type IV Chemical Allergy after making the switch.

Type IV Chemical Allergy (also known as Type IV Hypersensitivity or Allergic Contact Dermatitis) is an allergic response to specific allergens such as chemical accelerators used in the manufacture of gloves. The symptoms are usually delayed, occurring 6 to 48 hours after initial contact, and often in the form of skin redness, itching, drying, swelling or cracking.

With this in mind, CMSB has engineered a Low Dermatitis glove feature using our proprietary formulation which is accelerator-free. Our gloves have been thoroughly tested with Modified Draize-95 Test, a clinical trial guideline by the US FDA. This unique technology will help to minimize sensitivities and reduce the risk of an allergic response, giving users a peace of mind.

Malachite

Malachite is an ecofriendly glove developed using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach that utilizes energy efficiently throughout all stages of the product life cycle.

LCA is a cradle-to-grave analysis technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product’s life, which is raw material extraction, manufacturing, distribution, usage, and final disposal. In the assessment, the inputs (resources and energy consumed at each step of a product cycle) and outputs (pollutants and wastes at the ending stage of product) are assessed for their adverse impacts on long-term sustainability of renewable and non-renewable resources, human health and biodiversity.

Aside from providing unparalleled protection for the user, Malachite reduces the negative impact to the environment with its minimal carbon footprint emission. The product is developed in accordance with the principles and frameworks of ISO 14040 and ISO 14044. We want to make our planet earth a safe and healthy place to live in. Take the steps to preserve the planet, it starts with you!

Damp Hand Donning

Whether moisture results from hand washing, sanitizing solutions or sweat, glove donning in damp conditions can be exasperating.

At CMSB, we place special attention towards reducing donning hassles by developing Damp Hand Don (DHD) feature for our single-use nitrile gloves. Our DHD technology with our proprietary innovative material is incorporated on the inner surface of the gloves to facilitate donning on dry or damp hands, taking the donning experience up a notch.

Low Sweat

“Hand sweating” is one of the common feedback from glove users, especially those who are required to wear gloves for long hours.

Wetness in the gloves not only hinder user’s performance, but prolonged wearing also makes skin more vulnerable and prone to bacterial and fungus infection.

With our specially engineered formulation and a proprietary process of manufacturing, we developed Low Sweat feature that can be incorporated to our nitrile gloves, further enhancing the donning experience.

Skysense

Ultra-sensitive nitrile glove that is specifically engineered for food safety application.

PPE Category III

The Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425 has been enacted by the European Community to ensure harmonization of regulations regarding testing of all PPE sold within the community.

There are three risk categories of PPE:
• CE Category I: Simple Design – minimal risks
• CE Category II: Intermediate Design – reversible risks
• CE Category III: Complex Design – potentially fatal risks

With your safety as our top priority, our gloves are engineered to provide protection against microorganisms and harsh chemicals, and validated by accredited test institutes to ensure that they comply with PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Category III.
